Ovation Hospice, continues to grow and we are now expanding in the Colorado market! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing with a focus on geriatrics, hospice, and palliative care to join our primary care team. As the Director of Nursing with Ovation, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our hospice program, ensuring the highest standards of care are upheld. Your leadership and expertise will be instrumental in providing exceptional nursing care and ensuring the well-being of our patients.

What we offer:

$100,000 - $130,000 annual base salary, plus incentives and bonus structure

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the nursing team, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and review individualized patient care plans

Oversee the implementation of evidence-based practices and best standards of care

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and quality assurance measures

Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and satisfaction levels, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies

Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and collaboration among the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members

Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations

Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in complex patient care situations

Participate in community outreach initiatives, education programs, and professional development activities

Collaborate with other department leaders to optimize organizational effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Minimum of 4 years of experience in hospice or palliative care nursing, with demonstrated leadership experience

Strong knowledge of hospice regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse nursing team

Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare software

Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing quality end-of-life care
