Data Scientist

Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Data Scientist:

Scraping structured and unstructured data from various sources, including multi-page PDFs

Building regression models based on scraped data

Integrating regression models with naval architecture equations to simulate marine systems

Embedding model outputs in a Plotly Dash web interface

Supporting broader data science initiatives as needed

Collaborating with a team of Data Scientists and Engineers

This role is ongoing with a right to hire after 3 months

Required Skills for Data Scientist:

Fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Python for Data Science and Data Engineering

Expertise in PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash, and Data scraping

Experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks is a strong plus

Familiarity with ChatGPT API is a plus
