SAP ABAP Developer

E-Logic is seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to temporarily support the Sacramento County Technology Department. This role will help address a backlog of work by developing reports and web services across various SAP modules, with a primary focus on Human Resources (HR). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP ABAP development and be capable of contributing independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance reports, web services, and other custom solutions in SAP, primarily within the HR module.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Optimize existing code and application components for performance and efficiency.

Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to less experienced team members.

Maintain high-quality documentation for all developed solutions.

Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and project team members.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ERP ABAP development and programming.

Experience working across multiple SAP ERP modules.

Proficiency in:

Web Dynpro ABAP

BAPIs and Enhancement Framework

Workflows

Adobe Forms, SmartForms, and SAPscript

ABAP on HANA

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with performance tuning experience.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to mentor and support junior team members.

This position is part of a proposal effort for upcoming work with the Sacramento County. Employment is contingent upon contract award and client approval. Selected candidates will be included in the proposal submission and must provide written authorization for the use of their resume.
