Sr Systems Engineer

Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience

Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Thorough understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles

The ability to obtain & maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Familiarity with ELINT and/or COMINT RF collection systems

Understanding of CONOPs, deployment constraints, and use cases of DoD/USAF ISR platforms

Experience with developing and implementing interfaces common to collection systems to include the processing of collection data, creating and apply calibration factors, and the interface to downstream networking nodes

Experience with JICD networks and data formats

Experience with a Linux OS variants and common security constraints regarding their use in deployable systems

Familiarity with geolocation techniques and how various types of datasets are used to perform geolocation.

Experience with design through integration and deployment of ISR systems on airborne platforms

Prior experience and future interest in direct involvement in integration of complex ISR systems onto a variety of manned/unmanned aircraft
