The Experience Designer is responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and accessible user experiences across the Next Generation Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform for DMA.

This role works at the intersection of design, research, and technology to create user-centric digital interfaces that support the missions of military and government stakeholders.

The designer collaborates closely with UX researchers, frontend and backend developers, and content strategists to deliver scalable, component-driven design systems tailored to diverse audiences. Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to guide the development of AEM websites and components.

Conduct or contribute to user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to inform design decisions.

Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards in all design outputs.

Translate complex user needs and mission requirements into elegant and functional digital experiences.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure design intent is accurately implemented within AEM.

Support the development of a shared design system to maintain consistency across DMA web properties.

Present design concepts and rationales stakeholders, internal teams, and leadership. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human-Centered Design, UX/UI Design, Digital Media, or related field

5+ years of experience designing digital experiences, ideally for enterprise or government platforms

Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)

Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and execution

Experience with responsive design, mobile-first approaches, and front-end collaboration

Understanding of AEM's component-based architecture and content authoring workflows

Knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility requirements

Experience working in Agile or iterative design environments
