Injection Molding Process Technician

Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking an Injection Molding Process Technician for our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate will support manufacturing needs for continuous improvement through established annual and departmental plans. Serving as a liaison between management and plant workers on three shifts, this professional will be required to build a high performing collaborative team while achieving operational excellence. Summary

Reporting to Production Supervisor, the Injection Molding Process Tech is responsible for maintaining injection mold equipment and processes to produce a first-time quality part.

Will perform die changes as scheduled and provide input and support to reduce variables in the molding process, to reduce downtime and increase productivity. Authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct a quality problem when involved in quality functions related to the production process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

§ Conduct Changeover responsibilities as indicated on INJFM-19

Conduct Traverse and Gate Cutter robot set up and programming

Perform start up and shut down of injection molding machines as necessary

Troubleshoot equipment as needed. Answer machinery alarms

Support quality technician as a team member to ensure quality products are produced as scheduled.

Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to products, process and quality system.

Perform department 6S requirements

Other duties as assigned by management.

Will assist in making sample parts

Create work orders for machines and die repair

Enter Production, Scrap, Run Time and Downtime at end of shift into Production App

Complete required paperwork

Conduct a thorough Line Clear

Education or Required Experience

• High School or GED required

• Formal/continuing education in IM processing preferred

Physical Requirements

• Position requires walking, standing, sitting, bending and/or reaching

• Position requires lifting of up to 50 lb. several times per day
