Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for completing mechanical testing including Tensile, Yield & Elongation along with bend or crush testing to industry or customer requirements. The Quality Technician shall act with integrity in all testing results and records.
Required Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and industry standards.
Proven ability to operate test and inspection equipment.
Proven ability to operate Band Saw and CNC.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment is desired.
Any experience in quality testing and inspection procedures.
Good math skills, problem solving and computer skills.
Able to understand and adhere to lab and company quality/safety documentation.
Effective communication, both written and verbal, skills to all plant personnel levels.
English required. Spanish preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare test specimens to industry and Hydro standards.
Perform mechanical testing including bend and crush testing to testing procedures and ensures compliance.
Perform torque testing on various parts.
Perform Safe Launch on assigned part numbers per process instructions.
Maintain the highest levels of ethical and compliant behavior.
Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
