Job Title: Machinist and Programmer
Job Description
Join a leading supplier in the automotive industry, specializing in safety-critical seat structures and mechanisms. We are seeking skilled machinists and programmers to join our team during the 2nd shift. In this role, you will contribute to the production, die repair, and maintenance activities within our Tool Room, using your expertise in CNC milling and programming.
Responsibilities
Perform CNC milling operations to support production, die repair, and maintenance activities.
Interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications to plan machining operations, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, calculating requirements, and verifying settings to ensure accurate part production.
Set up milling machines, load feed mechanisms, and verify settings to maintain specifications and adhere to quality assurance procedures.
Maintain equipment, complete preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Document actions, update job knowledge, and communicate with colleagues to achieve organizational goals.Essential Skills
Mastercam programming with at least 3 years of experience, including the ability to edit or program from scratch.
Proficiency in CNC machining, specifically with mill machines and CNC mills.
Experience with conversation programming and CNC program editing.
Milling experience, preferably on Haas, Fanuc, and Makino machines.
Strong tenure in previous positions, demonstrating stability.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with editing software and CNC programming.

This is a Contract position based out of Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
