We are looking for a full-time Clinical Assistant in our Randolph Pediatrics location. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 8a-5p.
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for providing and coordinating orthopedic patient care which includes performing routine office procedures and testing, participating in patient teaching, communicating effectively with others, and partnering with the physician/mid-level provider in the delivery of patient care.
This position should be willing to learn or be comfortable with the removal and application of numerous and various types of casts, DME, and splints.
Essential Functions:
Updating clinical notes in electronic medical systems
Completing phone triage
Casting and bracing
Performing routine office procedures
Providing patient education
Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of EMR (Epic)
Ability to triage patient telephone calls. Gather pertinent facts; be as accurate and concise as possible to assess patient health status and act as liaison between patient and provider.
Ability to clearly and effectively educate patients, families and staff regarding the full scope of patient care needs related to the care of patients with orthopedic problems.
Communicate effectively and clearly. Respond well to questions with patients, physicians/ mid-level providers and co-workers.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing

CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National HealthCareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
EMTs will need Emergency Medical Technician certification
ATCs will need to be board certified as Athletic Trainer
