Summer Camp Counselor

Are you energetic, creative, and passionate about working with young children? Apple Montessori Schools is now hiring Summer Camp Counselors for our 2025 Camp Season! We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals who love to engage with children ages 2 to 8 and are excited to create a summer full of learning, laughter, and lasting memories.

As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will work closely with two other counselors and a single group of children, providing daily care, supervision, and encouragement. You'll be with your group throughout the day, participating in all camp activities—from outdoor play and creative arts to STEM and water fun. Counselors assist activity specialists, support camper participation, and serve as positive role models. More importantly, they create a safe, warm, and joyful environment where campers feel free to try new things, build friendships, and grow in confidence and independence.

As a member of our team, some of your responsibilities will include:

Ensuring that all students enjoy a safe, sanitary, and enjoyable learning environment.

Maintaining accurate student records and communicating daily progress with families.

Encouraging students’ positive self-image and supports individuality, independence, and creative expression.

Modeling appropriate social behavior and engaging with students.Requirements:

Minimum age of 18

High School Diploma or GED required

CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire

A genuine love of children.

Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children

An understanding of health and safety guidelines.

Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Must be able to work all 5 days, same shift consistently.

Must be able to work minimum of the 7 of the 8 weeks of summer camp.
