We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter on afternoon shift to join the team at our Wacol facility in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. This role works Monday to Friday, starting around 2:30pm-3:30pm and finishing around 11pm with opportunities for overtime which includes weekends.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
Providing mechanical support to day shift and afternoon shift as required.
Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.
About you:
Certificate III or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics; and/or
Certificate IV Engineering Mechanical Special Class; and/or
Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics)
Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly desired.
Forklift Ticket highly desired
Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired.
Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
