Position Summary
A Program Engineer at Duotech plays a crucial role in the design, validation, integration and support of manual and automated test equipment (ATE). The position will incorporate advanced work with the latest signal generation, signal acquisition, environmental screening equipment, and requires taking ownership of project management, system integration, circuit card and cable harness designs, that meet mission specific Size, Weight, Power, Cost (SWAP-C) constraints, from concept through production. The Program Engineer will be part of a cross-functional team of hardware, FPGA, systems, and software engineers creating innovative products that meet the demands of our clients in ATE design.
Position Description
Monitor and report on full project status from initiation to delivery
Design and schematic capture of custom digital circuit boards and cable harnesses
Perform board-level and system-level integration and test of new designs
Manage system level configurations with new design assertions
Support transition of boards and systems to production
Keep up to date with the latest hardware development tools, technologies, and methods
Generate quick turn prototypes to de-risk key functionality and to support customer demos
Position Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience in hardware design, system design and development or related experience
Experience leading teams in multi-phase projects and providing status, budget, schedule updates while in-process
Proficiency with schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium)
Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temp chambers, shield rooms, etc.) and basic soldering skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent communication skills
Must be U.S. citizen
Position Desired Skills
Experience generating or translating electrical equipment test requirements into effective hardware design solutions
Experience with design tools such as Altium Designer
Proficiency with engineering documentation, including BOMS, drawings, and interface control documents
Strong problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills – able to work effectively with program managers, test engineers, and manufacturing
Experience in defense, aerospace, or avionics repair industry
