Job Description
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including breakfast burrito items, sandwiches, burritos, salads, etc.
Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness
Follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy
Follow the prep list created by the executive chef
Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be easily accessible
Dishwashing, Cleaning, Sweeping, Mopping and other cleaning/sanitizing, etc.
Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, peeling, etc.
Handle basic cooking duties
Ensure all food items and tools are stored properly
Organizes workstations so cook and team members can find tools and ingredients as needed
Anticipate kitchen needs by constantly evaluating the environment
Comply with health and sanitation guidelines
Be a team player with good communication skills
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Short Order Cook or similar role
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders at once
Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Organizational skills
Communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
