We are looking for a seasoned Senior Systems Accounting Manager to help lead and strengthen our accounting operations.

Type: Full-Time Exempt - Starting Salary: $90,000/year (depending on experience)

Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and lead a team of accounting professionals. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong understanding of GAAP, financial systems, internal controls, and business operations.
Responsibilities:
Directs and participates in the development of accounting and internal control policies and systems.
Maintain and lead accounting records monthly in accordance with accepted accounting principles.
Assist with developing and maintaining the annual operating and capital budgets and loading all budgets into Solomon.
Maintain necessary internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate reporting of financial results.
Prepare monthly financial statements for management and ensure timely reporting of significant financial transactions, issues, and/or potential problems.
Develop and maintain systems for consistent dissemination of actual/budget reports to cost center managers. Provide periodic feedback to cost center managers regarding performance to established goals and become a budgeting coach
Prepare financial reports necessary to meet federal, state, and local government requirements.
Coordinate the annual audit, including prepare the annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensure all reconciliations and requests made by the auditors are completed timely and accurately, coordinate audit requests between departments to ensure the audit is completed timely, and within budget.
Ensure the operation of the Business Office in a manner which is consistent with excellent customer services and stated organizational goals and objectives.
Meet regularly with Sr VP of Finance and future staff to mentor and monitor progress against stated goals and objectives, provide direction and support of staff in their endeavors, and to inform them of current or developing issues which impact their work.
Oversee the accounting department to ensure effective management in accordance with GAAP.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred)
CPA certification is strongly preferred.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with ERP systems (Solomon) and Excel proficiency.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
