POSITION SUMMARY:
Family Medicine Physician is required to have graduated from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Family Medicine residency within the United States. Experience in Urgent Care or Pediatrics is a plus. Experience in Urgent Care or Pediatrics is a plus. Must enjoy building relationships with patients, is self-motivated in growing their patient panel, and is passionate about delivering high-quality care. Must be comfortable working in an autonomous environment and evaluating patients of all ages and acuity. The Family Medicine Physician is expected to take a vested interest in their patients’ well-being, demonstrate good listening skills, and express empathy and understanding when communicating with patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop personal relationships with patients.
Manage chronic medical problems.
Create patient-specific care plans with appropriate screenings to fit individual needs.
Educate patients in health management and disease prevention.
Recommend specialists for treatment outside of their capacity.
Offer comprehensive wellness exams for children and adults including Well Woman exams and Medicare Annual Wellness Exams.
Vaccination management.
Perform minor surgical procedures including laceration repair, I&D, nail removal, paronychia incision and drainage, skin biopsy, etc.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs and PFTs.
Provide a preliminary reading on x-rays and splint injuries as appropriate.
Work with and improve quality metrics.
Take an active role in working with our marketing department to grow a patient panel.
Be a team player and work with other staff members to provide high-quality care. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education (Required): Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic medical school.
Experience: Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Family Medicine residency in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Pediatrics.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
Must have an active, unrestricted license in North Carolina
Prior experience in Urgent Care or Pediatrics is a plus.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
BLS/ CPR Certified REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:Possibility to supervise Advanced Practice Providers as approved by the Chief Medical Officer.
