Responsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, aid faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Summary:
The Utilization Management Student Assistant works under the supervision of the Resource Case Manager (RCM) and other clinicians to assist in the administrative operations of the department.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the RCM in management of the department’s Outlook Inbox (emails and faxes) [45%]
Data Entry in IHIS (Epic) [45%]
Assist with mail, such as scanning incoming mail and stuffing outgoing letters [5%]
Assist department with ad hoc projects [5%]
Skills:
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to transcribe data accurately on a consistent basis
Ability to comply with HIPPA standards
CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 coding experience helpful but is not a requirement
Hours: Up to 20 hours per week [office hours Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm]
