The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology (OMFR) is seeking a full-time administrative assistant. This team member is responsible for providing administrative support to both OMFR Division and OMFR Clinic. The OMFR team includes an oral and maxillofacial radiologist, dentists, dental hygiene educators and dental assistant/imaging technicians. Responsibilities related to support of the OMFR Division include: maintaining a respectful workplace environment; providing administrative assistance and office support to the Division chair and faculty; researching, analyzing, and interpreting information; assisting with implementation of Division goals and strategies; monitoring and maintaining of expenses and financial records; assisting with budget preparation; maintaining confidential records and documents; preparing of reports; providing customer service to faculty, staff, residents, interns and students; organizing of travel arrangements, meetings and special events.
Responsibilities related to support of the OMFR Clinic include: maintaining a respectful patient care and student learning environment; managing clinic flow including patient check-in, assignment to student providers and patient check-out; accurately entering patient information into the electronic health record; placing orders and maintaining inventory for the clinic; and providing administrative support for clinic CBCT operations.
Work Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, on-site
Pay Range: The targeted pay range for this position is $21.10 - $27.75/hour based on experience and education.
Required Screenings: This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Physical Requirements: Work is performed in both a clinical reception/patient check-in area and an office environment, and, the employee in this class is subject to inside environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
Required
High school diploma and 2 years of administrative support experience or equivalent.
Experience in customer service or communications, including researching, analyzing & interpreting information and budgeting.
Experience using Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines successfully, while maintaining a positive, service-oriented outlook.
Strong writing, editing, time management and organizational skills and be able to effectively multi-task.
Proactive, prepared, self-starter, creative thinker who follows up on tasks would be successful in this position.
Desired
4+ years of experience in supporting a division leader or similar position with administrative support of clinical operations.
Experience in registering patients in a clinical setting.
Experience with Epic.
Must have advanced Microsoft Office expertise and experience with a focus on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in Workday, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Canva.
