Part-Time, Event Services Specialist (Busch Gardens Williamsburg)

What you get to do:

Perform administrative duties to support Sales Manager’s.

Follow up on group inquiries from phone messages and emails.

Process Group bookings including ticket ordering.

Email group confirmations and communications to customers.

Help coordinate on site catering and special events.

Interface with clients and various park departments.

Participate in weekly catering meeting and marketing meetings.

Perform various pre-event tasks including creating BEO, banquet check, ticket orders, FedEx, and post-event tasks including event recaps and final billing

Maintain weekly group arrival list and payment methods.

Participate in industry events, park familiarization tours, and key Special Events projects.

Other duties as assigned.

Enthusiastically represent the organization by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

What does it takes to succeed:

High School Diploma/GED required.

At least two years of education/related work experience required.

Must have excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and create relationships at all levels with clients and prospect organizations.

Detailed oriented and skilled at multi-tasking in a fast-paced working environment

Must have the ability to self-start and work independently, as well as in a team environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Must possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must have strong organizational skills.

Travel industry sales, marketing, and hospitality experience preferred.

Experience in Sales Force a plus.

Able to work any weekday between Monday - Friday to include some weekend and some late evenings as needed.
