Marketing Brand Specialist

Southwest Airlines Credit Union is seeking a passionate creative and detail-oriented Marketing Brand Specialist to support the planning and execution of marketing strategies that enhance member engagement, drive growth, and promote our brand. This role works closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns, manage content, and support events. This position offers significant growth potential with opportunities to advance within the company, for those who consistently demonstrate strong design skills, initiative and a drive to succeed.

Main Duties:

Graphics, Social Media & Advertisement

Key Responsibilities:

Assist VP of Marketing in developing and executing marketing campaigns and content across digital, print, email, GMB and social media platforms.

Graphics Software experience required: Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Canva and other editing software

Design promotional materials, brochures, posters, digital ads, newsletters & email campaigns

Help manage the credit union’s social media presence, including scheduling social posts, monitoring engagement, and reporting performance. Responding to reviews: Social platforms, Google, Yelp, etc.

Coordinate logistics and materials for special events, sponsorships, and on-site promotions to include interacting with members at events.

Conduct market and member research to help identify trends, opportunities, and audience insights.

Maintain brand consistency across all communications and materials.

Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery

Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

Manage On Hold Messaging, intranet/CUConnect, Website

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Credit union or financial industry experience is a plus

SEO Principles – brand engagement: write and edit high quality SEO friendly content for digital platforms, strategies and performance measurements preferred

Experience utilizing Google and social paid ads & Geofencing preferred

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Management, Journalism, Retail Merchandising or Advertising/Public Relations and 2 years’ experience in social media marketing required

Demonstrated abilities with Adobe products, HTML, CRM, Excel, and other Microsoft products

Demonstrated working knowledge of social analytics required

Familiarity with online banking trends and applications in the financial market is a plus

Must be able to engage in problem-solving, and help identify and solve potential issues

Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize

Effective time management

Strong attention to detail

Portfolio preferred

8:30 am-5:00 pm M-F. This is an in-office position
