Salary: $79,000 - $99,000 Annually

Must Be Located In Denver, CO

The Compensation Analyst will research job requirements and evaluate job positions to ensure the company is competitive. This position will develop compensation structures, programs and processes to optimize hiring and maximize employee retention by analyzing remuneration packages, position responsibilities and market data.

In this position, your main responsibilities include:

Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine classification as exempt or nonexempt and appropriate salary range.

Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position.

Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales.

Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and compensation analysis information.

Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and market trends.

Evaluates and implements job analysis instruments and materials.

Conducts data and cost analyses in support of business objectives.

Researches remuneration in similar industries; based on findings, recommends changes or updates to the company’s existing programs or policies.

Plans and communicates preferred methods and best practices for compensating team members, including development and maintenance of new and existing programs.

Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, compensation policies, human resource procedures, and best practices.

Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or commensurate experience

CCP or similar, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.

At least three years of experience as a compensation analyst required, including salary structure design and/or maintenance, survey participation, salary administration, compensation research and data modeling/analysis.

UKG Pro and Cornerstone on Demand experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Professional demeanor with polished interpersonal skills.

Extensive knowledge of compensation-related laws, regulations and best practices, including but not limited to: FLSA, EPA, Title VII, and other related federal and state laws.

Strong problem-solving skills and a customer service orientation are required.

Working knowledge of market pricing tools and salary administration systems.

Extensive knowledge of salary administration, market survey participation and use, salary structure design and maintenance, and data modeling/analysis.

Must be able to resolve problems on a daily basis, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
