Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Designer

We're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Designer to lead the charge in transforming architectural visions into precise, manufacturable designs. In this hands-on role, you'll combine technical CAD/CAM skills, lean principles, and mentorship to optimize processes, elevate product quality, and drive production efficiency. Lead Design Projects: Manage schedules, set priorities, and lead teams through end-to-end design execution for prefabricated and manufactured products.
Architectural Interpretation: Translate architectural drawings into construction-ready designs that meet building codes and internal standards.
3D Modeling & Documentation: Create high-quality models and detailed drawings in Inventor. Maintain document libraries for production use.
Quality Control: Review and check team deliverables for accuracy, compliance, and manufacturability.
Mentorship: Coach junior team members and contribute to developing internal design capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and external stakeholders to ensure successful handoffs and manufacturability.
Lean & Continuous Improvement: Promote lean practices, identify cost-saving measures, and streamline production workflows through design innovation.
Process Documentation: Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation to support manufacturing and compliance requirements.
Safety Advocacy: Champion a safety-first culture across design and manufacturing initiatives.Qualifications:
Education: Associate's degree in Architecture, Engineering, CAD Design, or Manufacturing (required).
Experience: 5+ years in product design for construction fabrication or manufacturing. Experience with machinery operation/programming is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Inventor, AutoCAD, and Revit
Skilled in interpreting architectural and construction drawings
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
Language: Strong English communication skills required; Spanish is a plus.
