Position Overview:
We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of a multifamily affordable housing community in Lynchburg, VA. This is a full-time, on-site position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with a Saturday rotation. Employees who work Saturdays receive an additional day off during the week, maintaining a 40-hour workweek. In this role, you will manage a team of five staff members, including leasing agents, maintenance personnel, and administrative staff. You will oversee leasing activities, ensure compliance with LIHTC and Section 8 regulations, maintain resident satisfaction, and manage financial performance, including budgeting, rent collection, and expense management.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in on-site multifamily property management, including 1 year as a Community Manager at an affordable housing (LIHTC/Section 8) property.
Strong understanding of affordable housing regulations and compliance (LIHTC, Project-Based Section 8).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced environment.
