Your Impact

You will contribute to the overall success of the organization by assisting the Director of Human Resources with the coordination and execution of all HR functions. Special areas of focus will include talent acquisition, on and offboarding, HRIS/Payroll/Benefit administration and the planning and execution of amazing employee engagement events.

The HR Coordinator will be collaborative as well as have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Other responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Talent Acquisition – manage the full lifecycle of the recruitment process

Job Postings and ATS management

Resume screening and initial interviews

Offers, reference and background checks

Onboarding

Coordinate all new hire paperwork and welcome package

Create the new hire onboarding plan including coordination of meetings with key employees and arrange any travel/lodging if necessary

Offboarding

Coordinating necessary meetings and appropriate documents

Benefits/Payroll Administration

Administer plan and 401K information, enrollments, changes and terminations

Reconcile all insurance bills monthly

HRIS Management – own the maintenance of the employee and company information in the system and assist employees with its use

Employee Engagement/Events – assist with the creation and execution of all employee events and activities (must have some flexibility to work after hours for these events)

You have the ability and judgment to seek clarification or assistance when needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a fast-paced Human Resources department (this is not an entry level position).

MUST have flexibility to work after hours for company events. (Approximately 1 time/month)

Experience with talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding and general HR administration are required.

Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is required.

Experience working with an HRIS, preferably ADP Workforce Now.

A working understanding of Human Resources best practices, principles, and laws is required.

Associate degree in Human Resources or related field required, Bachelor preferred.

Bilingual English/Spanish is a HUGE plus.

High proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams is preferred.

Understanding of payroll processes preferred, not required.

Travel Expectations

5% - possible travel to industry related conference.

Schedule

Part Time, Flexible hours within the core business hours 9 am – 5 pm

Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday – Thursday in Hauppauge office

Must have flexibility to work after hours for employee events (approximately 1 time/month)

Compensation

$25 - $28 per hour, commensurate with experience
