We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Sommelier to lead our wine service and cellar operations in an ultra-luxury environment in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in wines from all major regions around the world and bring a confident, yet humble guest-focused approach to service. This role is responsible for enhancing the wine program, managing inventory, training staff, and delivering a world-class wine experience in a refined hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert-level wine service and guidance to guests, tailored to their preferences and the menu.

Curate, update, and manage the wine list in collaboration with the Director of Operations.

Maintain and organize the wine cellar, ensuring accurate inventory and storage practices.

Train and mentor front-of-house staff on wine knowledge and service standards.

Lead wine tastings, pairings, and special events such as wine dinners or guided tastings.

Manage wine purchasing and vendor relationships, ensuring quality and budget alignment.

Work with the culinary team to develop thoughtful wine pairings for menus.

Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and guest interaction.

Requirements:

Extensive global wine knowledge (Old and New World regions) with formal wine education preferred (e.g., WSET Level 3, CMS Advanced or higher).

At least 5 years of experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality, or private club environments.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a polished and professional demeanor.

Strong organizational and inventory management skills.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

WSET Level 3, Court of Master Sommeliers (Certified or Advanced)

Experience hosting wine events or member education programs

Comfortable leading a floor and supporting broader service operations as needed

Compensation & Benefits:

Base Salary - $90-$95k
