Primary Position Objectives
Directs divisional product line staff to ensure employee development, growth and safety; customer satisfaction via quality, schedule, and product performance; achieve divisional cost of sales targets; and promote overall business growth.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the well-being of direct reports to include:
Communicating company direction and stated targets.
Employee development, growth and safety.
Hiring, terminations, wage changes, yearly evaluations
Effective communications on an intra and inter-divisional level.
Responsible for defining and managing all aspects of the Division in support of Company direction to include:
Divisional profit & loss responsibility
Capital planning (Estimated 100K-500K)
Meet targeted goals on quality, on time delivery, inventory turns and profitability.
Works closely with Customer Service, Estimating, Production Control and Finance in support of profitable marketing and sales programs.
Implementing Lean Manufacturing in support of product improvement for quality, cost, and delivery.
Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Tasks
Daily Standup meeting with Setup Operators in Spring Departments
Daily Labor Balancing (Review of efficiencies on Work Orders)
Lead Weekly Gemba/Kaizen walks with Setup Lead for lean improvements
Submit IT and Maintenance requests in CSS Portals
Contract Review & QIP review (With Setup Lead & Grinding/Secondary Supervisor)
Lead Monthly Quality & Safety Meeting
Submit Monthly Apprenticeship reports
Other
Maintains adherence to company policies, environmental and safety standards, and good housekeeping standards.
May be required to assist or otherwise instruct other personnel.
Performs other duties as may be required.

Qualifications
Education
Experience
BS, Engineering or Business discipline preferred or demonstrated equivalent skills
Strong managerial background in manufacturing. Lean skills a plus.
Sound administrative skills, well-developed management skills- principles and people.
Strong Computer literacy.
Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate personnel in order to balance staffing strength with profitability and growth.
Strong managerial skills.
Manufacturing Experience, preferably with Spring Making
Analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities.
Participative management style- advocates team concept.
Well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities. Tactful.
Ability to establish credibility and be decisive- but able to recognize and support organizations’ preferences and priorities.
Results oriented with ability to balance other business considerations.
