Overview
Come to the Table, an initiative of Providence College, operating in the Diocese of Providence and funded by a generous grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. seeks a full-time Program Coordinator for a period of 4.5 years (July 2025-December 2029).
Come to the Table has a single mission: to empower families in the habit of gathering for a shared meal. The initiative will accompany families in a number of ways, including website with digital/printable resources as well as practical ways to integrate those resources into the everyday lives of families. As is it incorporated into the life of the Diocese of Providence, Come to the Table will encourage and empower participants to bring their families to the table and make the family meal table a place of prayer and connection with one another.
The successful candidate will be a committed Catholic Christian in good standing with the Catholic Church and be personally invested in supporting Catholic families.
This position involves in-person work at Rejoice in Hope Center in Cranston, RI. The position will allow for some flexibility in work hours, and will require occasional evening or weekend work. It will include remote work at a maximum of two days a week, pending approval. Salary: $50,000-$60,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Review of applications will begin on June 15, 2025 and continue until the position is filled.
Duties and Responsibilities
Objectives
Coordinate closely with the Program Director and others
Collaborate with key diocesan partners
Monitor each step of initiative for successful completion
Identify best practices and procedures Responsibilities
Maintain consistent communication with the Program Director and other partners
Interact directly with the people of the Diocese of Providence in sponsored events and in the context of sacramental prep
Oversee daily administrative, operational, and logistical activities
Assist in administrative tasks related to website development
Purchase necessary supplies
Tract and approve relevant expenses
Assist in planning and carrying out occasional events Education and Experience
Minimum education: Associate degree
Substantial knowledge of Catholic belief and practice
Experience in administrative work
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner
