OpSource Staffing is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Utilities Foreman for a local construction company in Columbia.
Utilities Foreman
$70k - $100k/yr.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The utility foreman directs personnel on a given project, takes responsibility for all safety, quality and production goals for
the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To guide and direct activities on a given project while adhering to all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations, while meeting all production goals.
Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Carry out plan set forth by management and engineering
Read and interpret engineered plans and stake out in the field
Setup GPS base station and GPS guided equipment
Perform JSA, toolbox talks and any required safety training / planning / communication that is particular to the project
Communicate production issues and constraints and implement plans to overcome them
Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
Participate in routine equipment maintenance
Practice ‘Safely, All Day’
Complete daily fuel, load count and hour logs, daily
Complete daily workplace examinations and repair deficiencies
Maintain all credit card receipts, coded correctly and complete expense report turned in weekly
Maintain a professional appearance at all times
Maintain company vehicle to company standards
General daily preventative equipment maintenance
Maintain current tool inventory in maintenance trailer / truck
Maintain fuel tank level and inventory, communicate to management for deliveries
Keep the job site clean, prepared for inclement weather and on track
Maintain all erosion control devices and report deficiencies
Guide and lead the crew in all daily activities
Perform minor emergency repairs on equipment as needed

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands:
The foreman position is a physically strenuous and mentally demanding job. He/she will be lifting, pulling and managing
heavy equipment and objects. The foreman will have to work in all weather, and must be prepared for both extreme heat
and cold. The foreman must ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
Environmental Conditions:
The foreman must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat. He/she may
at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect eyes, nose and
skin from irritation and infection.
Sensory Demands:
He/she may at times be exposed to dangerous and/or toxic substances and must take necessary precautions to protect

Mental Demands:
The foreman must work with the team and is expected to maintain a schedule of work. Proper and efficient management
of all projects is required. Any variation from these means that lengthens the project not caused by unforeseen conditions
is unacceptable. Any problems or inconveniences may result in increased stress to complete tasks in a limited time.
