Structural Engineer

Company north of Birmingham, AL is looking for an experienced structural engineer.

Summary:

A Structural Engineer (PE) with experience in structural assessment and forensic services. This person will oversee and operate our residential and commercial structural assessment services within the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas.

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a structural engineer (PE) with experience in structural assessment and forensic services.

This person will oversee and operate our residential and commercial structural assessment services within the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa and surrounding areas.

He/she should be able to perform all duties for residential and commercial structural assessments related to storm damage, fire damage, foundation settlement, structural deterioration/decay, etc. Required:

BSCE with strong structural curriculum

Minimum 5 years experience

PE License required (any state)

Must be able to perform site investigations independently.

Knowledge and experience with wood framing design and construction is required.

ATC-20 and ATC-45 training preferred but not required.

Travel should be expected; however, most travel is local in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa areas any overnight travel would be very limited. Salary: $100-$130K
