REPORTS TO: Program Manager, Coordinated Entry

STATUS: Non-Exempt, salaried, full-time

LOCATION: Chicago, Illinois, (Hybrid/in-office schedule)

SALARY RANGE: $44,770 - $59,400 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Program Coordinator to serve a critical role in coordinating and carrying out program support, administration, and collaboration with provider partner agencies for the Coordinated Entry System. The Coordinated Entry System is responsible for identifying and assessing the needs of people experiencing homelessness and connecting them to housing and resources. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Chicago homeless service system. They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage various activities and responsibilities simultaneously. The Program Coordinator will be primarily responsible for supporting the work of Housing System Navigators with a focus on training, oversight, and performance monitoring.

Collaboration: Works collaborative with all stakeholders, holds space for multiple perspectives, and generates buy-in to CoC community standards and best practices. Position Responsibilities:

Monitor and support partner agency Housing System Navigation programs, including subrecipients partners funded by All Chicago

Ensure that Housing System Navigation program staff have resources and information to connect people experiencing homelessness to housing opportunities through the Coordinated Entry System

Conduct in-person site visits to Housing System Navigation partner agencies and other Coordinated Entry System partner agencies

Develop and deliver training and resources for Housing System Navigators; collaborate closely with partner agency staff to support the onboarding process for new Housing System Navigators

Monitor Housing System Navigation data entry is HMIS; supports partner agencies to ensure high data quality

Compile and submit quarterly Housing System Navigation reports related to program performance

Send detailed communication to Housing System Navigation partner agencies regarding housing referrals and data entry requirements.

Work collaboratively with partners to solve problems when barriers to housing arise

Implement Coordinated Entry System policies related to referrals, housing transfers, data entry, and grievances

Complete data entry in HMIS, iCarol, and other databases as required.

Generate reports on program activities and outcomes for funders and other stakeholders

Provide technical assistance by presenting information, discussing challenges, and identifying needs

Develop understanding of HUD and Chicago CoC rules and regulations related to Coordinated Entry; create materials to support others in understanding how to demonstrate compliance with them

Plan, schedule, and facilitate workgroup meetings with external partners; takes meeting minutes and sends out follow-up items

Gather feedback from stakeholders, including people experiencing homelessness, on their experience with the Coordinated Entry System

Raise challenges with the Program Manager to support troubleshooting, as needed.

Respond to inquiries from housing providers, from community members seeking housing resources and assistance, and to grievances regarding the Coordinated Entry System Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social work, human services or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possessing 2-5 years of experience in the field(s) of homelessness service delivery and/or housing is strongly preferred.

Experience with HUD-funded programming, Coordinated Entry and/or the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) is preferred.

Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

Ability to respond effectively to inquiries, complaints, or concerns, as presented by staff, consumers, service providers, and other stakeholders.

Fluency in spoken and written Spanish preferred. Benefits:
