Job Description

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT Division as a Computer Support Technician.

Essential Functions:

Prepare and install new computer equipment

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain all personal computers, laptops, monitors, printers, projectors and computer related peripherals

Install company approved software

Create purchase requests

Order equipment

Create and maintain computer and laptop images.

Other Functions:

May travel to assist with setting up new branch locations, which may require overnight stays

Assist with new technologies

Coordinate distribution of software releases to associates

Assist with other duties as assigned within the department or elsewhere on request

Desired Skills and Experience

Exercise sound judgment and be able to resolve problems

Maintain a professional business image

Increase knowledge through Company approved education programs

Work effectively with associates at all levels

Communicate effectively via e-mail, phone or in person

A solid understanding of how computers and other computer related devices work is essential

Two or four year college degree or equivalent job experience or training
