Description

The Regulatory Manager role is in the Houston, TX office and will report to the Senior Vice President of Land, Legal and Regulatory. Aris is seeking someone who will ensure regulatory and environmental compliance for Salt Water Disposal wells and recycle water infrastructure in New Mexico and Texas. Duties may include filing appropriate permits and documentation with regulatory agencies, managing and mentoring regulatory staff members, and facilitating future Salt Water Disposal areas by obtaining injection and drilling permits. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance for Salt Water Disposal wells and recycle water infrastructure, including the filing of appropriate permits and documentation with regulatory agencies,

Frequent interaction with the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division and Texas Railroad Commission as required to support project requirements.

Responsible for various regulatory compliance programs, including Acquisitions, Divestitures, Pipelines, Underground Injection Control, Flaring, Surface Commingling, Operator Renewals, Well Integrity Tests, Plugging Reports, and Annual Well Test Reports.

Oversee, maintain, and train staff on completion and filing of P-18's, H-5's, H-10's, etc. and any other monthly/annual data required by regulatory agencies.

Respond to requests from regulatory agencies and assist Senior Management with preparations for interface with the Aris board on regulatory matters.

Keep abreast of regulatory provisions, trending practices, and mentor regulatory staff on regulatory matters and rule changes.

Facilitate future Salt Water Disposal development areas and obtain any permits including UIC, drilling and any other required documentation for development of new infrastructure Education & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required

Eight (8+) years of experience within a Regulatory Analyst role or higher in oil and gas or midstream operations preferred

Prior experience supervising a team

This individual must be willing to learn in a time sensitive environment

This individual must be able to recommend, develop and support implementation of new processes to benefit the Regulatory Department

Demonstrate advanced project management and analytical skills

Have familiarity with Microsoft applications

Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and willing to work after hours as needed to meet deadlines

Must be able to relate to other people and maintain good relationships with coworkers across company discipline and regulatory agencies

Must be able to respond appropriately to constructive criticism
