Job Summary
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing a variety of tasks involving the movement, consolidation, and organization of raw materials, finished goods, and waste across the production floor and warehouse. This role involves operating sophisticated equipment under general supervision to ensure materials are handled efficiently and safely in alignment with production requirements and warehouse standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and other material handling tools, to move materials across the facility.
Consolidate and organize raw materials, finished products, and production waste in designated storage areas.
Ensure materials are correctly labeled, documented, and stored according to safety and quality standards.
Support the production process by supplying lines with necessary raw materials in a timely manner.
Remove and manage waste materials from production areas in compliance with environmental and safety procedures.
Perform routine, non-routine, and complex tasks involving inventory control and logistics coordination.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and production support areas.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), company safety guidelines, and quality assurance protocols.
Assist with shipping, receiving, and staging of products as needed. Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
Ability to operate forklifts and/or other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical ability to lift and move materials (up to 50 lbs), and perform tasks while standing, bending, or walking for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications (if any)
Experience working in a manufacturing or paint production environment.
Familiarity with inventory control systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
Forklift certification or experience with specialized warehouse equipment. Certifications (if any)
Forklift Operator Certification preferred (or ability to obtain upon hire).
