Valid Ohio certification/licensure
Master's degree in Educational Administration

JOB GOAL: To assist the principal in providing school wide leadership and to learn the role of the principal.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: (As assigned by the principal)
1. Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school.
2. Serves as the principal in the absence of the principal.
3. Supervises the preparation of student schedules if so delegated by the principal.
4. Assists in working with department heads and faculty in compiling the annual budget requests.
5. Assists in safety inspections and safety drill practice activities.
6. Assumes responsibility for coordinating transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services as delegated by the principal.
7. Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases, as necessary.
8. Serves with parent, faculty, and students groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
9. Administers the student insurance program as requested.
10. Performs record-keeping functions.
11. Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, and works with the attendance officer for investigative follow-up actions.
12. Supervises and evaluates teachers and departments as assigned by the principal.
13. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal may assign.
ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue.
Excellent observation and communication skills
May perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, when working with students.
Assisting students with behavioral/management needs
Frequent evening and/or weekend work
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year as established by the Board and terms of negotiated contract.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
