Job Title: Senior Palantir Engineer

Note: U.S. citizenship is contractually required for this position.

Job Summary:

The Senior Palantir Engineer will play a critical role in developing, deploying, and optimizing data-driven applications and analytical solutions using the Palantir Foundry platform. This hands-on role involves building scalable data pipelines, developing robust applications, and collaborating closely with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. The Senior Engineer will also contribute to technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices in software and data engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines within Palantir Foundry using tools like Pipeline Builder and Code Workbook.

Build and deploy interactive data applications, dashboards, and analytical workflows using Foundry's Workshop, Quiver, Contour, and other relevant tools.

Write high-quality, maintainable code in Python, Spark (PySpark), and SQL for data transformation, analysis, and application logic.

Collaborate with Palantir Architects to implement data models and ontologies.

Integrate data from various sources into Palantir Foundry, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Optimize the performance of data pipelines and applications within the Foundry environment.

Work closely with data scientists to productionize machine learning models and integrate AI capabilities (e.g., using Palantir AIP).

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for Palantir Foundry solutions.

Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Palantir Foundry deployments.

Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of development standards and best practices.

Engage with business analysts and end-users to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions.

Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a similar role.

2-3+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions with Palantir Foundry.

Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Spark (PySpark).

Experience with Palantir Foundry components such as Pipeline Builder, Code Workbook, Workshop, Ontology, and Code Repositories.

Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Palantir Foundry Certification(s).

Experience with Palantir AIP or integrating machine learning models.

Experience with front-end development technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript) for custom application development within or alongside Foundry.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).

Experience in leading agile software teams or mentoring junior developers.

Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
