InnoTECH Staffing is looking to hire a fulltime / permanent Principal Mechanical Engineer to design custom automated industrial equipment in the Greater Boston / Southern New Hampshire area.
This requires being onsite 5 days a week.
Candidate must be a US Citizen or GreenCard holder.
Looking to hire a Principal Mechanical Engineer (20+ years) and a Senior Mechanical Engineer (8+ years) who has custom automation including integration of robots, feeders, process, servo actuated devices, pneumatics, conveyors, etc.
About the job Principal MECHANICAL ENGINEER Department: Engineering Reports To: Mechanical Engineering Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Description The Principal Mechanical Engineer engages with the company's customers and designs custom machinery in exciting markets.
Senior Mechanical Engineers are individuals who manage all aspects of the project from conceptual design to installation.
These individuals are also responsible for major contributions to the design as they will manage the day-to-day detailed design advancement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create detailed concept sketches to refine proposed concepts.
Proficient with SolidWorks.
Able to create models of nests, overall system layouts, and complex station designs Responsible for design approval documents for system design Conduct weekly design reviews with customers and provide minutes of meetings Responsible for monitoring and managing customer requirements, costs, and delivery Must be able to work concurrently on one or more projects Responsible for project Bill of Materials Work with procurement to ensure all material deliveries Manage assembly priorities with production supervisor Work with Controls Engineers to ensure electrical and controls needs are met as required Manage Designers and Detailers for specific project Review and approve detailed drawing packages for production Proactively manage changes in project scope through ECOs and schedule changes Oversee debug and testing phase to ensure all customer requirements are met Oversee and perform FAT with customer Ensure proper shipment and installation of equipment Responsible for delivery of all customer documentation Qualifications Advanced knowledge in machine design or build of products in the OEM vertical and having designed at least 5 automated systems.
Knowledge must span from conceptual design through installation and service of the systems.
15-20+ years of relevant machine / automation design and project experience.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Experience in working with a project scheduling tool such as Microsoft Project.
Prior success in establishing effective relationships and communications with Customers.
Strong leadership, professionalism, communication, and project management skills.

Compensation includes base salary range $180K - $200K, bonus and full benefits.
