Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments and tests following established product test procedures, recording results accurately.

• Diagnose and analyze faults in electronic systems and equipment at the PWA level.

• Utilize expertise in electronic schematics, mechanical drawings, wire diagrams, and block diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.

• Operate test equipment such as digital multi-meters (DMMs), oscilloscopes, power supplies, and signal generators to perform analysis, troubleshooting, and repair tasks.

• Perform component-level troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, and integrated circuits.

• Support team members in resolving technical challenges and escalate complex issues to the Supervisor when necessary.

• Provide guidance and training to fellow Electronics Test Technicians on operational, maintenance, and inspection procedures.

• Oversee proper use of materials, test equipment, and tools to maximize efficiency.

• Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience (two or more years). Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.

• Background in test or experimental operations (military or technical school experience preferred).

• Comfortable working with systems under unique conditions such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy, cryogens, or radioactive materials.

• Strong foundation in basic electronics, including Ohm’s Law, Op-Amp circuits, and AD/DC converters.

• Proficiency in computer operations and relevant applications.

• Experience with key equipment: Oscilloscope, Voltmeter, Digital Multimeter, Function Generator, LabVIEW, and programming tools (ICD 2/3/4, CPLD, J-Link).

• Solid understanding of RF systems and communications.

• Familiarity with RF components like amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and mixers.

• Strong troubleshooting skills for RF system issues.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals with precision.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Flexibility to adapt to changes in management directives.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Positive attitude and strong team collaboration skills
