Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Topology & Network Engineer to design, develop, and optimize backend systems for advanced network analysis and protocol parsing. This role involves creating scalable solutions to handle real-time network traffic, analyzing topologies, and ensuring efficient and secure data flows. Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network performance and security.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement backend systems tailored for protocol parsing and network topology analysis.
• Develop and refine custom protocol parsers to support deep packet inspection and enhance security analytics.
• Build and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and data processing pipelines for network-related applications.
• Analyze and model network topologies, mapping relationships between nodes, endpoints, and data flows.
• Optimize parsing operations to ensure high-speed and efficient network data processing.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python, Go, Rust, or C++ to create scalable and high-performance solutions.
• Ensure real-time traffic analysis is performed with high throughput and low latency.
• Use tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and traceroute to troubleshoot and optimize network services.
• Collaborate with security analysts and engineers to improve network monitoring and detection capabilities.• Strong understanding of network protocols such as BGP, TCP/IP, and other industry standards.
• Expertise in interpreting low-level protocol data structures and designing custom parsers.
• Proficiency in backend programming languages, including Python, Go, Rust, or C++.
• Experience building network-intensive backend systems and APIs.
• Familiarity with network topology concepts, including routing, segmentation, and peering.
• Proven ability to optimize network parsing operations for high performance and efficiency.
• Knowledge of network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and traceroute.
• Awareness of secure protocol design, encryption standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
