Compensation: $140,000-$150,000 annually

About the Role:
A rapidly growing provider of multi-vendor data center services is seeking a Controller to join its Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on, strategic financial leader with deep expertise in revenue recognition, financial consolidations, and team leadership. The Controller will oversee the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring GAAP compliance, accurate reporting, and scalable financial processes. Key Responsibilities:
Lead all day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and financial reporting.
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Manage and ensure proper revenue recognition practices in accordance with GAAP, particularly in complex or multi-element service agreements.
Own the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations.
Analyze financial data and variances to provide insights to executive leadership.
Prepare accurate and timely internal and external financial statements and management reports.
Manage daily, monthly, and quarterly banking and cash flow activities.
Collaborate across departments to support business decisions with financial insights.
Drive improvements in accounting policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management to the accounting team.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial plans.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and support audit readiness.
Support ERP implementation and process automation initiatives, particularly around NetSuite.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
Strong understanding of GAAP, with hands-on experience in revenue recognition and financial consolidations
Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
Preferred:
CPA designation
Experience with NetSuite ERP
Background working with intercompany transactions and international accounting
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills
Experience navigating complex accounting environments and fast-paced organizations
