We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Vernon, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the company’s financial objectives. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with leadership and contribute to the organization’s overall financial health.
Responsibilities:
• Track and report on key company metrics and financial performance indicators.
• Develop and maintain profitability analyses for product lines, SKUs, and major customer channels.
• Collaborate with the Controller to oversee the annual budgeting process and ensure its alignment with company goals.
• Manage and update the company’s forecasting and planning models to provide timely insights to management.
• Assist the Controller with external audits and other reporting requirements.
• Monitor cash flow and provide accurate cash management forecasts.
• Support the Controller in maintaining the company’s financing structure and financial controls for billing, cash management, and accounts receivable/payable.
• Prepare and record journal entries and accruals during the month-end close process.
• Provide monthly financial reports and analyses to assist in decision-making.
• Contribute to the development of financial presentations and payroll expense analyses for management.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger accounts.
• Experience with preparing journal entries and conducting month-end close procedures.
• Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.
• Background in fixed asset accounting and financial analysis.
• Bilingual English/ Spanish
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to support cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
