Job Description
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will play a vital part in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and ensuring seamless deployment processes in cloud environments. This is a hands-on position that requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver highly available and secure solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment workflows.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across all stages of the DevOps lifecycle.
• Mentor and support less experienced DevOps engineers while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify system and process risks, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Develop metrics and dashboards to monitor DevOps adoption and maturity.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, focusing on technology controls in cloud and DevOps environments.
• Promote DevSecOps methodologies across Agile product delivery teams.
• Work with teams to design and improve deployment and integration workflows, ensuring system stability.• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering and DevOps roles.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TeamCity, or Bamboo.
• Proficiency in cloud engineering, particularly with Azure and AWS technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
• Familiarity with integrating security tools such as Checkmarx and SonarQube for code scanning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
