Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be proficient in performing their own set-ups and runs on the machine, possessing a strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Expertise in utilizing Fanuc Controls directly at the machine is essential, as candidates are expected to start with minimal training and direction.
Responsibilities
Perform set-ups and runs on CNC machines independently.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately to ensure precise machining.
Utilize height gauges, calipers, and micrometers effectively.
Operate machines using Fanuc Controls with proficiency.
Work with Haas, Kia, and Doosan brand machines.
Run a cell of two machines equipped with live milling tooling and twin spindle.
Maintain own tools including 6” calipers, 0-1 inch micrometer, dial indicator, edge finder, wrenches, dead blow hammer, and Allen wrenches.Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
Proficiency in Fanuc Controls.
Ability to perform machine set-ups and runs independently.
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
Excellent understanding of and experience with Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.
Experience with Mill Turn experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with 3 Axis machines.

Work Environment
Work in a major supplier's shop, which maintains a smaller and familial atmosphere with around 50 employees. The first shift operates from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with options for overtime including Saturday mornings. The dress code is relaxed, requiring jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. This environment fosters a team mentality where employees are expected to assist each other beyond their designated roles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
