Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist who can confidently perform set-ups and runs on machines with minimal supervision. You will be expected to have a thorough understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and be proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints. Experience with Fanuc controls is vital for this role, as you will be required to operate the machines efficiently from the onset.
Responsibilities
Perform set-ups and runs on CNC mills independently.
Utilize height gauges, calipers, and micrometers effectively.
Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Operate Fanuc controls proficiently on the machine.
Work with live milling tooling and twin spindle machines with 7-9 different axes.
Manage a cell of two machines, ensuring optimal performance.
Maintain and utilize personal tools such as 6” calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, edge finders, wrenches, dead blow hammers, and Allen wrenches.Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.
Proficiency in Haas, Fanuc controls, and mill turn lathe operations.
Ability to perform set-ups and runs with minimal training.
Strong understanding of G Codes and M Codes.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with 3 Axis Mill operations.
Experience with Kia and Doosan brand machines.

Work Environment
Work in a major supplier's smaller shop environment with around 50 employees. The facility operates from 7am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime starting earlier and optional Saturday hours from 7am to noon. Adhere to a dress code of jeans, t-shirt, and steel-toed shoes. Our team fosters a family environment where collaboration and mutual support are highly valued.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
