Volt is immediately hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Compton, CA for a Food Manufacturing Company.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you will:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems

Follow safety protocols and work in compliance with electrical codes, equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications

Utilize company-provided hand tools, power tools, and electrical/electronic test equipment to complete daily tasks

Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan

Support Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and productivity

Collaborate with other team members to ensure optimal machine performance and quick resolution of issues

Document maintenance activities and update records as requiredThis is a Full-Time Temp-to-Hire opportunity

The ideal candidate will have:

3+ years of current maintenance experience in a food manufacturing environment

Strong mechanical skills with knowledge of electrical components and wiring.

Knowledge of GMP's, food safety, food regulations (preferred)Schedule: 4/10 schedule

Days: 2nd Shift, Monday to Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am (10 hour days)

**Must be able to train on 1st shift 5am-3:30pm (10 hour days) for 1-2 weeks

Pay rate: $26.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
