Embedded R&D system engineer

Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Embedded RD system engineer for a Contract job with a client in Maple Grove, MN(Hybrid). The ideal candidate ensures FDA-compliant software QA and supports documentation reviews, audits, and quality events.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $59/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Embedded RD system engineer job responsibilities include:

Design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded systems and firmware for medical devices or related applications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure design feasibility.

Conduct system-level integration, testing, and validation in compliance with regulatory standards.

Analyze and resolve technical issues during development and post-launch phases.

Document design specifications, verification plans, and test results in accordance with quality and regulatory procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in embedded systems development.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.

Experience with embedded development tools and environments (e.g., IDEs, debuggers).

Knowledge of hardware/software integration and debugging.

Familiarity with regulatory standards in medical device development (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $59.00 per hour
