Job Title: Fuel Cell Technician
Job Description
Join a pioneering industry in energy technology by working with fuel cells that generate electricity and heat through an electrochemical process. These innovative fuel cells are used in diverse applications, providing clean, efficient, and reliable energy solutions.
Responsibilities
Operate up to 3 machines simultaneously to cut and inspect electrodes, ensuring quality and precision.
Mix and change inks for electrodes, maintaining optimal conditions for the catalyst production.
Visual inspection and touch-up of electrodes using a small paint brush, stacking and orienting them correctly.
Perform technical operations in the facility, including acid fill and pressing electrodes to create sub stacks for the Cell Stack Assembly (CSA).
Paint and seal corners and edges of the CSA to prevent acid leakage.
Use a hoist to secure walls and add components like coolant manifolds and fiberglass sheets to the CSA.
Unwrap and perform quality checks on super modules, fill systems with water, and connect electrical components with crane assistance.
Connect fuel pipes, perform intake connections and component testing to ensure functionality.
Pressure testing and finishing touches on units to ensure proper sealing and assembly.
Polish and prepare units for shipping, including final paneling and logo application.Essential Skills
Mechanical aptitude with experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
Ability to follow blueprints and schematics.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
General mechanical ability and assembly experience.

Work Environment
Work on a clean shop floor with most areas climate-controlled. Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses are required. Orientation and training occur on the first shift. Enjoy a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with built-in overtime and every other weekend off.

This is a Contract position based out of South Windsor, Connecticut.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.70/hr.
