Job Description
We are looking for a talented Graphic UI Designer to join our dynamic team in Batesville, Indiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping user experiences for medical device products by conceptualizing and designing innovative interfaces and product visuals. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to impactful design solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with product development teams to conceptualize and design new features for medical devices.
• Provide creative support for projects, focusing on user interface design, product labeling, and visual concept development.
• Collaborate with marketing, market research, and engineering teams to gather design requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
• Brainstorm ideas and develop graphics for user interfaces and product labeling that meet customer needs.
• Follow direction from senior members of the Global Design team to prioritize and execute assigned tasks.
• Utilize advanced design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, to create compelling visuals.
• Develop presentation materials such as PowerPoint slides, interactive demos, and sketches based on customer feedback.
• Contribute to usability testing and user-centered design practices to refine interface concepts.
• Work in both Mac and PC environments to deliver high-quality design outputs.
• Maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate project deadlines and team support needs.• Currently enrolled in a B.S. or B.A. program in Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Demonstrated creativity, self-motivation, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong ability to apply design principles to translate customer requirements into user interface concepts.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with advanced skills preferred.
• Familiarity with software tools like Figma, Adobe XD, KeyShot, and SolidEdge is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to produce presentation materials, including images, interactive demos, and sketches.
• Experience or exposure to user testing and usability engineering methods is highly desirable.
