Computer Field Technician

Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Computer Field Technician for a Contract job with a client in Roanoke, VA. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills and experience in hardware repair, with responsibilities including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Rate Range: $28/hour to $29.78/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Computer Field Technician job responsibilities include:

Configuring, installing, and troubleshooting hardware and software

Conducting on-site repairs for laptops, desktops, and printers

Managing and resolving technical issues efficiently

Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and address concerns

Collaborating with teams to meet business and contractual commitments

Desired Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, with additional hardware technology training (college preferred)

2+ years of technical/mechanical hardware repair experience

Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with tools and alignment apparatus

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially on-site with customers

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding conditions

Pay Details: $28.00 to $29.78 per hour
