Python Programming Engineer

Job Description

RATE: $75/hr 1099/Corp-to-Corp or $70/hr-W2

LOCATION: Miami, FL

One of Infonet’s premier clients has an opening for an advanced-level Python programmer with Data Science / Data Engineering experience.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Work alongside a team of 4 data scientists, an ML engineer, and a data engineer.

A successful candidate is expected to be self-sufficient. However, the above-mentioned team will guide the contractor and assist with the successful execution.

Scrape data from up to 100 PDF documents with several pages to create a regression data set.

Perform regression model on the dataset.

Combine the regression model with naval architecture equations (will be provided by the team) to build marine simulations.

Use the team’s existing Plotly Dash web application to create a simple front end for the simulation model.

Support the team on other projects as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Clear communication skills and fluent in English.

Able to work 9-5 Eastern Standard Time

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Advanced-level Python Programming for Data Science / Data Engineering.

Strong background in building solutions using PySpark, Scikit-learn, Plotly/Dash, and data scraping packages.

PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Microsoft Azure and Databricks experience is a plus.

Experience with ChatGPT API is a plus.
