Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Data Scientist for a Contract job with a client in Waltham, MA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in R, Python, and HPC platforms. Key duties include building bioinformatic pipelines, analyzing NGS data, and collaborating with research teams.

Rate Range: $66/hour to $69/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Scientist job responsibilities include:

Analyzing large datasets to derive actionable insights

Building and deploying machine learning models

Designing and implementing data pipelines

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data-driven solutions

Communicating findings through data visualizations and reports

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field

3+ years of experience in data science or related roles

Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages

Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)

Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Pay Details: $66.00 to $69.00 per hour
