Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Location: Lockport, IL

Hire Type: Contract-to-Hire

Shift/Hours: 1st, 7am-3:30pm (during training) mild flexibility after (start at 6am or 8am) Monday-Friday

Base Salary: $20-$25/hr

Job Duties:

· Solder SMT and/or through hole components to boards.

· Perform basic and/or advanced, standardized and repetitive electro-mechanical assembly including box builds.

· Perform Wire/Cable/Harness assembly.

· Inspect Electrical and/or Mechanical assemblies, Chassis, Cables, Harnesses for defects.

· May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire, stripping, wiring and fastening connections, pulling kits.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma, GED and/or technical diploma and 3+ yearsâ equivalent assembly experience and/or military technical training.

· Ability to solder and/or rework fine pitch SMT parts under magnification.

· Must be able to read and understand work instructions, schematics, bills of material, diagrams, and engineering change orders.

· Must be mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools and small power tools.

· Ability to work OT on an as-needed basis to meet company goals.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to follow verbal instructions as well as written procedures.

· Must possess solid judgement and decision-making skills.

· Must be well organized and be able to multi-task.

· Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in written form.

· Ability to work well with others and must be a conscientious and cooperative team player.

· Ability to meet quality expectations and follow safety guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to do repetitive operations.

· Excellent eye-hand coordination.

· Excellent manual dexterity.

· Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand for long periods.
